As preparations intensify ahead of the highly anticipated Amateur Basketball Academies (ABA) League scheduled for July 2026, the organization has taken another strategic step toward building a sustainable basketball development structure in Nigeria with the launch of its *Training and Trainers Clinic* in collaboration with the Niger State Basketball Association.
The clinic, set to hold from May 22nd to 23rd, 2026 at the Minna Basketball Gymnasium by 11:00am daily, reflects the broader vision earlier shared by ABA Founder and President, DC Abubakar Lucky Aliyu.
Far beyond organizing competitions, ABA is clearly positioning itself as a long-term developmental ecosystem designed to improve coaching standards, strengthen grassroots structures, and create better opportunities for young talents across Nigeria.
By partnering with the Niger State Basketball Association, ABA is not only creating opportunities for players, but also investing in the people responsible for nurturing the next generation of athletes.
The clinic is expected to bring together grassroots coaches, academy owners, trainers, sports instructors, and basketball enthusiasts to share ideas, improve technical knowledge, and standardize coaching methods ahead of the proposed nationwide academy league.
