The Chief Executive Officer of Galaxy Backbone Limited, Ibrahim Adeyanju, has applauded the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) for its enduring contributions to national unity, integration and socio-economic development across Nigeria.

Adeyanju gave the commendation during a courtesy visit to the NYSC National Directorate Headquarters in Abuja, where he acknowledged the Scheme’s pivotal role in fostering cohesion among Nigeria’s diverse ethnic and cultural groups.

In a statement issued by the Director, Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, the Galaxy Backbone boss highlighted the significance of the NYSC deployment policy, which posts Corps Members to states other than their states of origin.

He described the initiative as a strategic tool that has continued to strengthen national integration despite operational challenges.

According to him, the policy has added tremendous value to nation-building by promoting cross-cultural understanding and building a more united and resilient workforce.

Adeyanju also used the occasion to outline the mandate of Galaxy Backbone as a Federal Government digital infrastructure platform responsible for providing secure internet and connectivity services to Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs). He stressed that the organisation ensures maximum data security in compliance with Nigerian laws and global best practices.

Appealing for collaboration, he expressed Galaxy Backbone’s readiness to partner with the NYSC to enhance its digital operations nationwide.

“We are open to partnership, and we will ensure that NYSC State Secretariats operate with enhanced digital infrastructure,” he said, assuring that any establishment that patronises the company would enjoy robust data protection and secure digital services.

Responding, the Director-General of NYSC, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, described the Scheme as a household name that has consistently built a formidable and patriotic workforce for the country.

Nafiu commended Galaxy Backbone for its innovative digital initiatives and expressed the Scheme’s willingness to collaborate with agencies that can strengthen its operational efficiency.

He assured the Galaxy Backbone delegation that the NYSC management would carefully consider the proposal for partnership in the interest of improved service delivery.

The visit underscored growing inter-agency collaboration aimed at leveraging technology to boost institutional efficiency and deepen national development efforts.
