Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have recorded major successes against terrorists in a series of coordinated dawn battles across the North-East, neutralising several insurgents and recovering a cache of weapons.

In a well-executed surprise operation at Bula Dalo, forces of the Joint Task Force (North East), Sector 1, launched a night-dawn assault that left more than 12 terrorists dead. The attack forced surviving fighters to flee in disarray, while troops recovered four AK-47 rifles, a PKT anti-aircraft gun, a rocket-propelled grenade launcher and a multiple grenade launcher.

The Media Information Officer of the Headquarters Joint Task Force, Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, disclosed in a statement that troops also carried out a separate operation at the Garno terrorist camp, further weakening insurgent strength.

During the raid, six terrorists were neutralised, their support structures destroyed, and a large stockpile of PKT anti-aircraft ammunition and other items recovered.

Meanwhile, troops of Sector 2 at Sabon Gari came under attack in the early hours of January 29, 2025, when ISWAP fighters launched an assault backed by multiple armed drones.

Although the terrorists briefly breached part of the defensive position, soldiers swiftly repelled the attack, held their ground and restored full control with reinforcements from nearby units.

The operation, however, came at a cost, as some troops and members of the Civilian Joint Task Force lost their lives while defending the location. An excavator and a locked vehicle were also damaged during the drone strike.

Military authorities said exploitation of the area is ongoing as efforts continue to deny terrorists freedom of action across the region.

The Military High Command commended the troops for their gallantry and urged them to remain vigilant and aggressive in confronting terrorist threats.
