The management and board of the Silent Heroes Awards Initiative (SHAI) have extended heartfelt congratulations to Major General Raymond Nkem Ochei (rtd) and Major General Lawrence Fejokwu (rtd) on their successful retirement from the Nigerian Army, marking the end of decades of distinguished, selfless, and patriotic service to the nation.

In a statement issued by Odita Sunday, Founder of the Silent Heroes Awards Initiative, the organization lauded the two retired generals for their unwavering commitment to national security, peacekeeping, and nation-building, describing their careers as exemplary models of discipline, integrity, and quiet excellence.

Odita noted that both generals left indelible marks within and beyond the military through their leadership, professionalism, and humanity.

He highlighted their continued contributions to community development, particularly in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State, their ancestral home, where they have championed youth empowerment and philanthropy.

“The retirement of these two gallant officers is not the end of service but the beginning of a new phase of impact,” Odita stated.

"We are proud of their exemplary conduct and modest contributions to humanity, which perfectly reflect the values our organization stands for celebrating individuals who make remarkable differences without necessarily seeking the spotlight.” he added.

The Silent Heroes Awards Initiative reaffirmed its pride in the achievements of the two generals, commending their lasting legacy of leadership and compassion. The organization wished them good health, fulfillment, and continued success in their post-service journeys.
