The Chiefs of Defence Staff of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) gathered for a distinguished gala night as part of their 43rd Ordinary Meeting, fostering camaraderie and reinforcing regional cooperation on security matters.
The event, held in Abuja brought together top military officials from member states, dignitaries, and strategic partners in a setting designed to encourage informal dialogue and strengthen diplomatic and military ties.
Against a backdrop of regional security challenges, the evening provided an opportunity to acknowledge collaborative efforts in maintaining peace and stability across West Africa.
The Chairman, ECOWAS Committee of Chiefs of Defence Staff General Christopher Gwabin Musa emphasized the importance of unity among member states in addressing evolving security threats.
He highlighted the need for sustained cooperation in counterterrorism, peacekeeping, and conflict resolution.
